When we got there we had to wait for some VIPs to get in first then it was a free for all. Once gates opened and we went through we were escorted the whole waaaay to the pit lane. Gates opened at about 850am to go through baggage and scan tickets. Not a very big line up at that time but still people must have shown up at 630 or 6am. We got to the island for 7am and there was already a line up to get in for 9. This year they closed the doors at 1030 since event was only till 12pm. Then I booked flights when date officially came out. I looked closer to the date and hotel and air bnbs were 700/night min. I got my air bnb for $50/night before they were able to raise the price. I premeditatively booked knowing that it has always been on fathers day weekend. I booked my air bnb 2 weeks before date was officially released for fathers day weekend. I'm here currently at the 2023 montreal grandprix.
